Put simply, Greater Zion is a destination a cut above the rest. With striking red rock cliffs, towering, carved canyons, sweeping vistas, and deep, cool waters, Greater Zion is a colorful adventureland brimming with over 2,400 square miles of epic outdoor pursuits. Here, the Mojave Desert, Colorado Plateau, and the Great Basin converge to make for some of the most stunning scenery in the world.

Five regions and 19 cities call Greater Zion home. Amenities abound in our bigger towns of St. George, Washington, Hurricane and Springdale. Historical charm flourishes in our smaller towns of La Verkin, Ivins and Veyo.

Black Desert Championship: PGA FedEx Cup

After a six-decade hiatus, the PGA Tour is returning to Utah. The newly constructed Black Desert Resort and Golf Course will host a new PGA Tour tournament, the Black Desert Championship, in October 2024. As part of the FedEx Cup, this tournament will contest various professionals among Greater Zion’s classic red-rock scenery and black-lava flows.

The LPGA Tour is coming to Black Desert Resort in Spring 2025. The best female golfers in the world will gather to compete at the freshly minted epicenter of luxury at Black Desert Resort and Golf Course among the rugged beauty of Greater Zion. Epson Tour Copper Rock Championship

Hosted in May 2024, the Epson Tour returned to Copper Rock Golf Course for the fourth time. As usual, the tournament was enthralling as multiple rising stars in women’s golf competed for the title and the chance to earn their LPGA Tour Card. The Epson Tour is the most established developmental tour in the world, so it’s only fitting that the competitors elevate their game among Greater Zion’s elevated Utah scenery.

2024 LPGA Senior Championship

Hosted in Spring of 2024, the LPGA Senior Championship at Copper Rock Golf Course marked the first time that the Legends Tour visited Utah. The energy that the seasoned professionals brought to Greater Zion could be felt throughout the county, and their prowess echoed off the walls of the Hurricane cliffs. The warm, dry desert brought out the players’ best scores among the elevated scenery.
